Monster

His hair is long
His eyes are short
And the way he is
Is very dark

What he is
Is very strange
Why he is--
I can't explain:

Buildings burned,
Lives devoured
By a stupid, gutless
Pathetic coward

But that's the way
When hatred seeps
Along the cracks
And deep within

To poison things
That might have been
Until they're spoiled
And he descends

He goes away
But he returns
When he does,
Another burns
